Cut
a 2" - 3" length of the black wire and strip both ends.
Solder the wire to one pin on each switch. |
 |
Next,
strip the ends of the other 3 wires. Solder the black wire to either
of the pins where the short black wire is connected. This is the Ground
wire, and the short black wire shares the ground between the two switches.
Solder the end of one of the other two wires to one of the empty pins
on one switch. Do the same with the other wire, soldering it to the
other empty pin. It does not matter which wire goes on which pin. |

Now
we are ready to mount the switches. I decided to put mine where all
the other switches are behind the coin door. I drilled two holes that
line up with the sticker saying "Test Switch" and "Service
Switch". The existing test and service switches are much higher
and over to the left. |
 |
I
dropped the existing switches down so they lined up with the sticker. |
 |
Then
I mounted my new switches in the old holes. |
 |
Last
step, I put on a label for each switch. "Language" and "Mode".
You will need to play with the switches to figure out which is which
and what position is what. |
 |
That's it. Now
you can switch between the AES BIOS and change from English to Japenese.
